What are the Enrollment requirements?

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) or University Degree
  • Must not have already attended the Apple Developer Academy in Naples during academic years 2016/2017, 2017/2018 and 2018/2019

For the Apple Developer Academy as an Apple Foundation Program Student, requirements include:

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) or University Degree
  • Must not have already attended the Apple Developer Academy in Naples during academic years 2016/2017, 2017/2018 and 2018/2019
  • Must have already attended a Foundation Program


I am not in the rank of the 20 admitted participants from the Apple Foundation Program. Can I still apply for the Apple Developer Academy?


Yes, you can still apply for the Apple Developer Academy according with the default selection procedure described in point A.2 of the Annex “Apple Developer Academy”.


What are the differences between the two procedures?

Whilst non Foundation Students are required to take an assessment test and a motivational interview, Foundation Students are required to take only the motivational interview.


What are the locations for the evaluation test?

The test will take place in Naples from July 8th 2019. You can also choose different locations outside Italy on the registration form, which in this case are: Paris on July 1st, London on July 3rd, Munich on July 5th. You can choose only one location for the test. Places are limited in the locations outside Italy. If no places are available outside Italy, students can still take the exam in Naples. The test can be taken only once.


Can I change an application that I have submitted?

No. We strongly recommend to carefully read the Student Call and the Annex before submitting your request.


I am a student in the last year of High School: can I apply for the selection procedure of the Apple Developer Academy?

Yes, as long as you are going to finish school by the end of the Scholastic Year 2018/2019.


Are the travel costs to take the test in charge of the University?

No. Any travel expense that you may undertake is not reimbursed by the University of Naples Federico II.


What if there are no places left to take the test?

In case there are no places left in the locations outside Italy, the University will notify the applicants so that they can take the test in Naples.


Are there any books or courses in order to get ready for the evaluation test?

Yes. Visit the self-assessment website. This website will allow you access to study materials and a self-assessment quiz to help you prepare for the in-person exam.


Can I join the Apple Developer Academy as an online course?

No, the attendance is compulsory. The course takes place in Naples at the San Giovanni a Teduccio campus of the University of Naples Federico II.


Are there any halls of residence inside the University?

No, however there are external halls of residence available. The expenses are borne by the student.


Are there any scholarships planned at the Apple Developer Academy?

Attending the Apple Developer Academy is free. Apple has planned scholarships of € 7.200,00 (net IRAP tax) for the 5% of students who are admitted to the course. This depends on the position they reach on the final admission rank.
All other students might receive an allowance of attendance from Regione Campania according to the European regulations (see European Social Fund regulations at www.fse.regione.campania.it). The contribution provided from Regione Campania to the students will be subject to the availability of funds.
